My HPE Values photos

Being out and involved in activities with family is very important to me and being there to help them to feel safe and secure when experiencing new things is crucial to me me so they can achieve and not get discouraged and give up when trying something that may be considered new and put into the too-hard box. I see it as important to our mental health at this stage to feel safe and secure in ourselves and our environment for these new experience to be positive and something that is able to be built on as a skill and a way to teach watersafety.
Competition is important in life and not just physical activity. Here we are having a badminton tournament in a Sports hall in Jincheon, South Korea. The participants anre those involved in the Chuncheongbukdo Foriegn language and outdoor pursuits centre employess and guests.

This was my football team in South Korea, for the Seoul Sunday Football League, the participants are varied with teams ranging from American Military to Wannabe K-league players. Our team was very multinational with members from all inhabited continents. Ivory Coast, Senegal, Korea, Iran, NZ, USA, UK, Serbia, Croatia, and Colombia from memory.

Being creative and fun in our approach to HPE is important here are a group of children from Te Karaka Area School in Gisborne, creating rafts from different objects to compete in a race at a pool. with this fun and creative approach the children learn to problem solve and be more independant while still getting the sense of teamwork and fostering a desire to be mre active and learn with a focus on water and water safety. This was important as one of the girls not show here was mortally scared of the water due to a sibling who had broken her spine jumping from a bridge into too shallow water.
